Cheeca Welcomes Four-Legged Friends with New “Pups in Paradise” Package

Why should Fido miss out on all the fun of a tropical vacation? With Cheeca’s new “Pups in Paradise” package, man’s best friend can also enjoy the laid-back flavor of the Florida Keys, along with a range of thoughtful amenities customized just for canine companions.

The package includes accommodation in the resort’s spacious Golf Course guestrooms and Golf Course one-bedroom suites, and comes with pooch-inspired perks like a paw-shaped doggy bowl, bone-shaped chew toy, puppy turndown service in a pet bed with blanket, and baggie dispenser. There’s even a dog-friendly room service menu designed to get tails wagging with savory selections like “Where’s the Beef?” (ground hamburger, brown rice, and carrots) and “Bring Home the Bacon” (bacon treat with ketchup glaze).

The “Pups in Paradise” package is available for dogs up to 70 pounds, and is required for pet-friendly access to Cheeca Lodge & Spa. A non-refundable fee of $70 per pet per night will apply. Four-legged family members are welcome in pet-friendly guest rooms and on a designated scenic walking trail on Cheeca’s lushly manicured grounds, but may not accompany guests to restaurants, bars, pools, beaches, or other public areas. Service animals are exempt from these restrictions.

Cheeca guests with four-legged family members in tow will find plenty of dog-friendly fun on beautiful Islamorada. MarrVelous Pet Rescues, a local animal-rescue center, hosts a Yappy Hour on the first Thursday of every month, where guests can bring their pups along while they enjoy cocktails and mingle with other adoptable pooches. And the secluded Anne’s Beach, located at Mile Marker 73 on the Overseas Highway, offers lots of shade and shallow surf for dogs looking to cool off and make a splash.
